In a heartbreaking incident from Delhi's Ashok Nagar, 19-year-old Neha Yadav was allegedly killed by Taufiq-ur-Rehman—a man she once tied rakhi to, trusting him as a brother.
Neha’s family said Taufiq had lied about not having a sister to build a bond with Neha. Over time, he began forcing her to marry him. When she refused and distanced herself, his behavior turned threatening.
On June 23, disguised in a burqa, Taufiq allegedly strangled Neha with her dupatta and pushed her off their building’s terrace. Her father tried to stop him but was overpowered. Neha died on the spot after falling five stories.
Taufiq was caught days later in Rampur, UP, after a massive manhunt. The grieving family now seeks justice, saying they trusted him like one of their own—never imagining such betrayal.
